KZN toddler drowns in swimming pool

Durban – A KwaZulu-Natal toddler drowned in a swimming pool in Pietermaritzburg, paramedics said on Monday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the 16-month-old child fell into a pool.

"Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial services arrived at the scene and found that the child had been pulled from the water. Tragically, the child was declared dead at the scene."
