An ANC secretary's forum - which is a meeting of all secretary-generals and their deputies from national, provincial and regional levels - is set to meet on Tuesday to discuss measures to address political killings within the party.

This comes after the murder of an ANC councillor in Tshwane on Monday.

Speaking to News24 during the ANC's manifesto launch in Church Square, Tshwane, party spokesperson and national executive committee member Dakota Legoete confirmed while the police had not verified that the death of Tshepo Motaung, a Ward 22 councillor in Mabopane, was a political killing, the forum would be meeting and discussing ways of addressing and putting a stop to such killings.
