The cancellation of Rage festivals in Ballito and Plettenberg Bay, which attract thousands of matrics to the seaside towns each year, has potentially cost local businesses millions.

Local businesses are hoping that there is still some money to be made from visitors.

iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism CEO Cobus Oelofse, estimated that the Rage festival, based on what transpired in previous years, could have brought in around R100m.
