Former DA federal chairperson Athol Trollip has bemoaned the direction the party is taking and has lashed out at current and former party leaders. 

In an interview with News24, Trollip, who resigned in dramatic fashion along with former leader Mmusi Maimane last year, expressed concern over the direction the party was taking under the stewardship of federal council chairperson Helen Zille.
