With misinformation and disinformation around Covid-19 vaccines gaining steam and leading to increasing hesitancy, the health department has been advised to step up its communication.

So far, the country has fully vaccinated about seven percent of the adult population. Registrations for age groups younger than 60 were opened up quicker than expected because turnout was low.

Registrations for people aged 18 and above will open on 1 September.
