Ephraim Dhlamini is excited about the future after he and 64 other community members were named beneficiaries of the Vrede Dairy farm
Kayleen Morgan

Three years ago, Ephraim Dhlamini told the state capture inquiry that his life was in danger after he spoke up against the corruption and mismanagement at the Vrede Dairy farm.

On Friday, he stood optimistically at the farm as one of its new owners, saying he looked forward to telling his great-grandchildren about what he fought for.

Dhlamini, 59, was one of 65 community members from the Free State town who have 51% ownership in the Vrede Dairy Farm project. The remaining percentage will be given to a strategic partner, which is yet to be identified.
