As her husband sat behind the steering wheel drenched in blood from a single bullet wound, his wife begged him not to die.

This was the moment that greeted Andrew Khoza, principal of the Heroes Academy school, who rushed outside after a car with German tourists crashed into the wall of the school.

The four tourists were on their way to Mdluli Safari Lodge when the driver was shot and killed after being ambushed by three gunmen near Kruger National Park’s Numbi Gate on Monday night.
