Weather Update: Sunshine and warm weather return to most of SA

The sun is expected to come out and temperatures are set to increase slightly on Thursday as the rain clears up across SA.

Warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Richtersveld Local Municipality in the Northern Cape.

Temperatures 

Minimum temperatures are expected to be cool to cold across the country and some coastal areas are expected to experience moderate morning conditions.

Bethlehem in the Free State and Sutherland in the Northern Cape are expected to be two of the coldest places, dropping to 2°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to rise across the country. Most parts of SA are expected to experience warm conditions, while parts of the Northern Cape and the Western Cape are to experience hot afternoon conditions.

Vredendal in the Western Cape is expected to be one of the hottest places, with a maximum of 36°C.

Pretoria and Bloemfontein will reach a high of 26°C while Johannesburg will reach a high of 23°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town will reach a high of 25°C, while Port Elizabeth is expected to reach a high of 22°C and Durban a high of 23°C.
