'You can't have an organisation within an organisation' - Niehaus, RET faction under fire at NEC meeting

President Cyril Ramaphosa used his opening political overview to the ANC's national executive committee (NEC) meeting to condemn an ANC faction, called the "radical economic transformation" (RET) group.

The faction is led by Carl Niehaus and is said to be sanctioned by party secretary-general Ace Magashule. 

In the virtual meeting that began on Friday, Ramaphosa is said to have spoken out against "the tendency of communicating different things, using ANC platforms".
