Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Northern Cape, the western and central parts of the North West, the Free State and the northern parts of the Eastern Cape.

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, the Lowveld of Limpopo, the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, places in the Free State, North West and Gauteng, and continuing until at least Tuesday.

North West will be very hot in the west, where it will be windy, otherwise fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Free State will be fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Northern Cape will be very hot in the north, otherwise fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy over the extreme eastern and southern parts in the afternoon.

Western Cape will see some morning fog in places along the west coast, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm, with evening light rain over the eastern parts of the south coast.
The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to north-westerly in the early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south to south-westerly, becoming light towards the evening.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be hot and windy in the north, otherwise fine and warm, but partly cloudy to cloudy in places along the coast, where it will be cool.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly by evening.
The eastern half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy and warm, with fog patches in places south of the escarpment in the morning, otherwise fine and hot, but partly cloudy and cool in places along the coast and adjacent interior.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming strong south-westerly overnight.
KwaZulu-Natal will be cloudy at first, with fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but hot in the north-west.
Light rain and isolated showers are expected over the south-east at first.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming easterly to north-easterly from the south towards midday.
