Former president Jacob Zuma actively advanced the interests of the Gupta family in assisting them to capture the South African state at the expense of the people of South Africa, the Zondo Commission found.
It stated he involved himself in the operational matters of entities such as the SA Revenue Service (SARS) and Eskom, colluded with the private sector to capture institutions of state and was prepared to throw loyal civil servants under the bus in service of his pact with the Guptas.
