Erika Bornman writes that 2020 would be KwaSizabantu's year of reckoning, but also her own as she learnt to find her voice and take her power back.

When I woke up in time to see the first rays of the sun paint the sky pink over Table Bay on 1 January 2020, I had high hopes for the year.

I would go meet my newborn nephew in Mexico, I would hike often and yes, also lose 5kg by the time my birthday rolled around in August.
