Cape Town - It's no secret South Africa's National Parks are of impeccable standards.

Aside from tourist facilities, camps and roads, the parks' core - the natural beauty and wildlife - is what makes these spaces so incredible.

And we're not the only ones to think that. According to experts Safari Index, two of Africa's Ultimate Safari Destinations and seven of Africa's Best Parks and Reserves are in Mzansi.

The beloved Kruger National Park and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park have been listed as two of the ultimate safari destinations on the continent, alongside other major African parks such as Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe and the Masai Mara in Kenya.

The Kruger National Park is packed to the brim at the moment, at the height of the school holidays in SA. Winter is the best time for game viewing in the country, but also a time of great frustration in the parks because of traffic jams! Many Kruger visitors ascribe the congestion to the use of wildlife apps in the Park, and people rushing from sighting to sighting as they get posted on the tracking apps.

Today, on Friday 1 July, Traveller24 will be hosting a twitter chat, discussing the pros and cons on the use of technology in South Africa's national parks. See the full details and questions here and follow along via the #ShockWildLifeTruths hashtag.
