It's been almost 20 years since the World of Beer opened its doors to the public, and with the rapid expansion and becoming cool of the Maboneng Precinct in the City of Gold, the SAB World of Beer has now seized an opportunity to share with visitors the story of beer, the story of South African Breweries and the story of the beer-making process.

The World of Beer got a breath of life in March 2014, when they introduced the ever-so-popular beer tasting at the venue.

To make matters even better, is that visitors won't have to worry about driving after the beer tasting at the WOB. The Red Buses of City Sightseeing also goes past the World of Beer every day, and visitors can literally just hop-on and hop-off the Red Bus whenever they please.

Visitors going to the WOB should take the Mabo’go shuttle to the Maboneng Precinct from the Carlton Centre at City Sightseeing's Stop 3. They will then be able to explore the entire Maboneng Precinct area, including the nearby WOB.

WOB will be open every day from 10:00 to 18:00, for tours, conferences and beer tastings. The last tour will commence at 17:00, daily.

Rates at the WOB
Adults: R95
Pensioners and students with a valid student card: R85
Children under the age of 17: R30
School tours are available at R30 per pupil

Beer tasting: R85
Tour and beer tasting package: R140
Red Bus: R90

Scrumptious lunches are also served at these times at their Tap Room restaurant.
