SA artist guilty after risque Eiffel Tower chicken dance

Paris – A controversial South African performance artist has been found guilty of indecent exposure by a French court after dancing half naked in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Die Burger reports that Steven Cohen, 51, was arrested by Parisian police in September last year during a performance.

He had apparently been dancing half naked, wearing high heels and had a cockerel attacked to his genitals. Following his arrest he had spent 10 hours in jail and underwent psychological evaluation.

While he was found guilty of indecent exposure earlier this week, the court opted not to impose a penalty, as no member of the public had laid a complaint against Cohen and he also hadn’t performed any sexual deeds in public.

According to Cohen his performance was cut short by the authorities and he would eventually like to complete it.

French paper, Le Figaro, tweeted a picture of Cohen's controversial performance.
