Travel Alert: OR Tambo traffic delays

Johannesburg - A serious accident that took place on the R21 southbound in Johannesburg early on Tuesday morning has caused some traffic delays around OR Tambo Airport.

Beeld reports that a vehicle crashed into a bridge on Rondebult Road at the N12 at about 05:00 this morning. One person was killed and the vehicle destroyed.

All lanes were closed to traffic shortly after, but SANRAL Traffic has tweeted that they have, in the mean time, been reopened.

If you are on your way to the airport, however, expect slow moving traffic, congestion and delays.
