Flying First Class is the ultimate for many flyers. Bubbly on tab, your own sleeping pod, maybe you even get moisture-infused pjs.
This might just make the dream of First Class slightly more attainable. Qantas is hiding R300 First Class seats on Airbnb over the next two weeks, offering passengers a luxury stay in the clouds.
How it works:
Over the next two weeks the Aussie airline will release a few discounted First Class seats, listing them on Airbnb as bookable accommodation. Some for around R300 bucks, says Business Insider AUS. Listed as 'Cosy cabin nestled between the clouds' or 'Premium one bedroom suite at 35 000 feet', these stays sound pretty damn enticing. The host's name is apparently, 'Qantas Frequent Flyer'.
But there are some restrictions! No pets and no parties.
With bubbly on tap, I'm sure you'll be fine with a party of one.
The catch: The seats will only be available to Qantas Frequent Flyer members. When booking on Airbnb, the booker will pay a $20 (R288) holding fee, but you actually end up paying with discounted frequent flyer miles. Around 50% of the normal points one would have to pay to secure such luxury.
