Cape Town
1. Kirstenbosch
Set against the Eastern slopes of Table mountain - with its diverse flora and beautifully greenery, it is the ideal picnic spot in Cape Town. Throw your picnic blanket out on the grass and enjoy the beautiful views of the grounds. As the temperature heats up - you can look forward to the summer concerts held at the gardens. Tickets can be purchased here or upon arrival.
Times: 08:00 - 19:00
Cost: Entrance is R 75 per adult and R 20 per child (6 -17 years)
Nestled between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch it is the perfect destination for a picnic. The wine estate offers two picnic basket choices to choose from. The Rhone picnic is set on the Rhone estate of the winery where a table can be be decked for you and your friends. The second option is more casual and is the Werf garden picnic that occurs on the Pavilion lawn. It is a more relaxed setting and kid-friendly.
Times: Basket collection from 12:00 - 14:00. Please note that your basket will only be ready for collection at your booking time.

3. Table Mountain National Park's Silvermine
A wonderful picnic on the shores of its beautiful reservoir -the sun and water will have you wanting to take a dip into the waters to experience all that the nature reserve has to offer. There are many other activities to take part in at the reserve, from bird watching to mountain biking. There is also a hiking trail towards the reservoir.
Times: 08:00 - 18:00 (Times may vary)
Cost: R 50 per adult, R 30 per child (under the age of 12)
