Cape Town - For those of you who are planning on travelling to the Kruger National Park using the R536 leading to the Paul Kruger Gate on Saturday whether for entry or exit purposes, you are advised to use alternative routes, because the park management is unsure whether the protests would have stopped or not.
This comes after protestors submitted a letter containing six demands to the management of the Kruger National Park last Saturday.
SEE: Kruger visitors warned to avoid Paul Kruger Gate due to protests
Guests must please use alternative routes such as Phabeni and Numbi Gates to access and exit the Kruger National Park until further notice. Management of the Kruger National Park also advise guests to avoid Paul Kruger for now.
Phabeni is about 10km away from Hazyview on the R536 and Numbi is about 31km from White River/52km from Nelspruit on R40.
On the Kruger's Facebook page, it articulates that service delivery remains an issue. The area has also be been affected by drought and water shortages have been an issue. It remains unclear for how long the protest action will continue.
The gates will only open once the protest have stopped.
