These are the winners of the 'wow beach' category of the worlds best beach awards, more than 1600 beaches were scouted by beach-inspector.
Making use of up to 120 criteria to evaluate seaside locations, beach-inspector compiles a list of the best beaches in the world.
Beach-inspector, considered the world's first dedicated beach information platform, has for three years been visiting beaches and their surroundings and assessing them using various evaluation criteria.
The criteria ranges from beach development, infrastructure, water quality to the child friendliness and visitor profile of the beach.
Surprisingly, South Africa's beautiful beaches have not made the cut on the top "Wow Beaches" despite the Western Cape having one of the most instagrammed beaches in the world. To that we have one word - wow.
Here are the winners in the 'Wow Beach' category:
Manda Bay - Kenya
