- The driver of the truck involved in the collision that killed Public Service and Administration Minister Collins Chabane will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today.

- AP reported that Nigerian troops have ousted Boko Haram from a northeastern town while Cameroon soldiers killed several of the extremists in an attack on a Nigerian village.

- Relief workers continue their efforts to reach remote outer islands in Vanuatu after the region was hit by a cyclone Pan.
