School uses technology to teach learners about responsible parenting

Often, high schools ask their learners to carry around a "baby" for a period of time in order to convey some of the responsibility of having a baby -- especially at a young age.

Riverside College in Cape Town has taken to technology for the ten day period during which their learners will learn about the responsibilities of parenting. 

Not only are learners expected to carry around a 2.5kg "baby" where ever they go; digital reminders are sent to every student's cellphone multiple times a day, reminding the "parent" to feed, burp, change, bath and spend quality time with their "children". Watch!
