Curtis Rudling, 19, was walking along Bazeley Beach on KwaZulu Natal's coast last month when he noticed a rusted, weather beaten GoPro camera lying in the sand.
Rudling took the camera home, looked at the footage and amazingly recognised a local holiday resort manager in the footage. He asked the manager if he recognised any of the holidaymakers in the footage and, says Rudling, the manager informed him they had been to the coast the previous year.
“I saw it and picked it up. You can see from what it looks like that it had been in the sea for a long time,” he says.
