A total of 26 people were killed on Friday in a horror crash on the N1 north, outside Modimolle, Limpopo.

Two children were among the casualties.

Video footage showing the aftermath of the accident has emerged on social media. Officials have notified the next of kin.  

President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday expressed his sadness over the deaths of the 26 people.

Transport Minister Blade Nzimande has called for a probe into the crash, including the roadworthy status of the truck.
