The funeral service of anti-apartheid activist Graeme Bloch, who died at the age of 65, will start at St George's Cathedral in Cape Town at 10:00.

Bloch was well known for his involvement in the democratic movement. He dedicated his life to education and equality.

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga and former president Kgalema Motlanthe are expected to make virtual tributes, while former finance minister Trevor Manuel will deliver the eulogy.
