A huge fire broke out on stage at the Tomorrowland Unite music festival in Barcelona, Spain on Saturday.

More than 22 000 party-goers were evacuated from the main stage of the festival.

According to a post on the festival's website, the fire was caused by a technical malfunction.

"Authorities will follow up and continue the investigation with the local Spanish organiser," the page added.

No injuries were reported, as festival-goers quickly fled the scene.
