You may have seen him by now all over social media in the cute memes that are spreading like a wildfire, and perhaps you have even shared one... Or two... Or three on your Instagram story like myself.
The cutest baby of 2019 is without a doubt...
Without spoiling The Mandalorian for you, Baby Yoda made its debut in the closing moments of The Mandalorian’s series premiere.
The show focuses on an armored bounty hunter viewers know only as 'The Mandalorian,' as he is assigned to track down a 50-year-old target. His client is associated with the now-fallen Empire, and needs the target for a few reasons I won't mention.
When the Mandalorian gets to the planet, he discovers that the target is just a wee green baby with big pointy ears and adorable kawaii eyes.
The internet instantly dubbed the adorable green rugrat 'Baby Yoda', but many fans are up in arms, as technically the cute creature is not Yoda himself, and is referred to as 'The Child' throughout the show (despite being 50 years old).
But we don't see that nickname changing any time soon.
An internet sensation
Baby Yoda has captured the hearts of many, and creators of endless memes, videos, art and more have taken inspiration from him (or her? It's still unclear).
We're sure 2020 will bring us many more Baby Yoda moments!
