Internet says Meghan Markle 'has no idea how to hold a baby', but we disagree

Parenting is hard enough, but parenting in the public eye must be brutal.

Local and international celebs have all received their fair share of 'shaming' from random people on the internet, so the latest criticism of Megan Markle is just another scrap of internet junk on the compost heap, IMO.

What did she do wrong? Hold her baby, apparently.

That's right, Meghan has been shamed for the way she held her baby at a recent charity polo match.

"She is holding him like she is terrified of dropping him" commented one woman, and "She has no idea how to hold a baby. Has she ever held him before?? So odd," chirped another.

The general consensus is "She has no idea how to hold a baby"

Sure, in some paparazzi pics she looks uncomfortable, but so does any careful new mom holding their new baby while standing out in public, very aware of the eyes of the world scrutinising her every move.

Give her a hand, then

Coming to her defence though, are plenty of moms who have been there.

"FFS, she’s a new mom. He’s still an infant. She’s holding him like just like any other mom would" says one, while another points out that "Experts agree she is holding the baby correctly. Soo I guess the negative Nancies are wrong."

Another commented: "Such a warm motherly image of the Sussex Royals. Duchess of Sussex, Motherhood becomes you. Loving it," and that's a message I can support.

If anyone really has an issue, I suggest they club together and send her a South African baby carrier - we have a number of local manufacturers who make beautiful baby carriers.

I know they saved me many times, and helped me bond with my babies while managing to be hands-free when out and about, and at home too.

No mom should be shamed for doing the best she can.
