The first step to take
to beat this disease,
Is use a flexed elbow
whenever you sneeze
Keep your hands clean
but don't rub your eyes,
And for goodness sake
No, Dr Seuss hasn't somehow time traveled to 2020.
The snippet above is from a poem by local 9-year-old Eesa Vachiat titled, How to beat Covid-19.
"Eesa has always been a fan of Dr Seuss, and perhaps it's his love for these books that has given him a way with words," says proud mom, Fatima, who shared her son's poetry with Parent24.
Eesa originally wrote the poem for a community kids talent contest, Fatima tells us, "and being the eager and ever-willing entertainer that he is decided to put his poetry skills to good use."

When asked where he gets his talent from, Fatima says it's definitely a mix of his mom and dad.
She even credits lockdown for getting "his creative juices flowing more than ever!"
We also wondered if Eesa has already decided on a career path but Fatima says her "little man with his big personality needs a little more time to decide," but for now is split between wanting to be a model, actor, rock star, NBA player or Heavyweight champion.
For now, Fatima says, Eesa is happy just to inspire others.
"He loves giving to others and... his charismatic way makes all who meet him love him instantly."
We're sure, whatever he decides, Eesa will do amazing things.
