Rush is a multi-tournament, multi-platform event for gaming enthusiasts which takes places this month in Pretoria. The show will feature top gamers, big screens, live commentary, cool technology and a chance to win awesome prizes. 

Casual gamers and spectators are welcome, but attendees must be 12 and older.

Family fun at the Knysna Oyster Festival

There is lots on the go at the Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival for oyster enthusiasts, fitness fanatics and lovers of the good life – get down to the Festival Pavilion for food choices galore including of course oysters, craft beer and wine, and parents can enjoy themselves knowing the kids will be thoroughly entertained.

The Momentum Health Kiddies area is a fun, secure play zone tailored specially for the littlies. The fun includes everything from arts and crafts, jumping castles and loads more. Open to children from 2 to 12, there is no charge but children must be checked in by their parents/guardians. Support some (very) young local entrepreneurs at the lemonade stand on Saturday, and enjoy some energetic fun exploring at the Orbit Infatable Fun and Games.

Moms or dads can stay active with the 5 km Fun Run along Knysna Waterfront drive on Saturday, or the Houtkapper Trail run on Sunday, consisting of a 9km, 15km and 27km in a scenic forest setting. The Momentum Knysna Marathon and Half Marathon also take place on Saturday, and the ultimate multi-sport event, the Momentum Big 5 Challenge, finishes. Noddy at Artscape Theatre

Noddy, the classic children’s character will be visiting the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town this month. Young theatre-lovers will get a chance to see Noddy, Big Ears and friends explore Toyland where they will learn about friendship, hard work, and honesty.

    Does your kid have talent? The Johannesburg Academy for Theatre Arts will be hosting musical theatre holiday clubs designed to keep your little superstar entertained. 

    The clubs are great for all school-going children from age 6 to 16, teaching them the ropes in musicality, expression, voice projection, improvisation and performance. 

    The workshop takes place over a week but daily attendance is not a must. Those who do attend every day will get a chance to show off their talents at an exciting showcase concert at the end of the week.
