mom was left in tears after realising that her son was getting married to her daughter who has been missing for years.

The ceremony took place this past March in the Suzhou, Jiangsu province in China, when the mom noticed a birthmark on her future daughter-in-law's hand that matched the one that was on her long-lost daughter, reported the Times Now News.

After spotting this mark, the mother approached the bride's parents and asked if she had been adopted 20 years ago.

The bride's family was shocked by this as they had kept the adoption a secret for years.

Ultimately they revealed that they found her by the roadside years ago and brought her up as their child.

Another plot twist

The long-lost daughter expressed that finding her mother was one of her happiest moments but she soon realised that it meant she was actually going to marry her older brother.

However, in another plot twist, the mom revealed she lost hope of finding her missing daughter after searching for years and decided to adopt, which meant the pair were not biological siblings.

The bride was relieved after hearing this, and described the day of meeting her mum as happier than the wedding ceremony itself.

Luckily, the ceremony ended with no more surprises.
