A 65 year old teacher from Berlin gave birth to quadruplets in May this year.
Annegret lives in Germany, but travelled to the Ukraine, where there are currently no laws governing these sorts of IVF procedures, to have the eggs implanted.
She gave birth to a girl and three boys by caesarean section at 26 weeks.
There's been much controversy surrounding the ethical standards of the matter, not only due to her age but because she is also a mother to 13 other children.

She also has seven grandchildren.
Despite the babies being born severely underweight they are now all healthy and settled in at home with Annegret.
The plan of action
When asked how she would be able to support her children financially she told various reporters that she'd do so through media coverage and sponsors.
Addicted to pregnancy?
Some women are hooked on being pregnant and find pregnancy extremely gratifying, so much so that they seem to go from one pregnancy to the next without wasting any time.
According to an article posted in Women's health, "Having babies isn't addictive in the way that alcohol and narcotics can be. But bumpaholics feel compelled to procreate for many of the same reasons that substance abusers turn to booze or drugs."
