With the thought of back to school leaving many parents "in a cold sweat" the online option seems to make more sense than ever.

To give you an idea of what's out there, here's a look at a few of the local online schools you might want to consider this year.

Since lockdown began, registered Cape Town-based school, Growing Minds, has moved its pupils to a virtual platform and are now offering an online virtual schooling programme for Grades 1 – 7.

The service includes integrated and interactive CAPS curriculum-based content, daily tuition with qualified teachers in small classes, CAPS assessments and term reports.

The online classes take place from 9:00 to 13:30, Monday to Friday.

@Home Online by Play Sense
