These kids showed us exactly what star power looks like!

Star power is something that not everyone is born with. It's a particular type of confidence, an unspoken personality trait that makes people want to listen while drawing themselves towards you. And for these kids, their star power is evident and undeniable!

We sent out a call to all South Africans to be united in song as part of our Anthem Project. Several parents across the country took up the challenge and got their kids to perform on camera and bring the dream to fruition. We’re loving the submissions that have been uploaded thus far and would like to encourage more of the little humans of this nation to get involved and join in showing their pride for our beautiful country by sharing their renditions of the national anthem.

By submitting your video, you could win a chance to donate a share of R1 million in cash and prizes to your charity of choice. We have had some stunning submissions thus far, with children far and wide bringing their star power to the party and being shining examples of national pride and admiration. Here are some of the biggest stars to grace the Anthem Project thus far:

Bloom Centre for Children with Special Needs

Bloom Centre is a creative space of hope and support where children feel loved, safe and accepted for who they are. They teach and care for children who have a variety of diagnosis; Down Syndrome, Autism, Low IQ, non-specified learning difficulties and children who are not coping in mainstream schools.

Red Cross Children's Hospital

Established in 1994, The Red Cross Children's Hospital is entirely dedicated to children - especially children from impoverished communities. The hospital takes on around 250 000 patients per year, a third of which are under the age of one.

Nelson Mandela Foundation

The Nelson Mandela Foundation focuses its work on promoting dialogue as a vital instrument for addressing critical social issues and the most effective vehicle for sharing and growing memory, and for engaging it in the promotion of justice and social cohesion.
