Q&A: 6 months and a small bump

A reader asks:

"I am almost six months pregnant, but I still look so small. It looks like I am only about four months pregnant. I have a small bone structure and my bum and waist are both very round. Is it normal to still be quite small in size at this stage of pregnancy?"

Tina Otte (midwife) answers:

Lucky girl – if you are six months and only look four months! Everyone carries their pregnancy differently, no matter if you are carrying a boy or a girl. As long as your baby is growing and thriving inside you, you have no cause for concern. What you are experiencing is completely normal.
