After the devastating loss of her third child with husband John Legend, Chrissy Teigen chose to share heartbreaking images of her ordeal.

But despite her openness, the celeb mom received harsh criticism for sharing such a private moment.

Addressing this, she recently wrote an open letter, sharing why it was important to her to have the experience documented.

She said that she asked her mother and John to document her experience "no matter how uncomfortable it was" to help others out there.

She said she could not care less what everyone has to say about it. What was important was to remember that moment forever, the same way she wanted to remember her kiss with John down the alse, she wrote.

"The same way I needed to remember our tears of joy after (older kids) Luna and Miles (were born). And I absolutely knew I needed to share this story".

Chrissy wrote that she wanted John to document this experience on camera because she knew how important it is to share what they went through.
