Meet five-year-old Zoey Freda, who has uncombable hair syndrome.
The syndrome is an extremely rare genetic condition characterised by frizzy, untameable locks.
Diagnosed with the condition at just two-years-old, Zoey has had to endure thoughtless insults for her hair.
"I've had people say to me 'Look at that bed head, don't you take care of your daughter?' It got me thinking how, as adults, we tend to judge a book by it's cover a lot. So, the more awareness we can bring.... the better".

The cruel comments which usually come from adults have prompted Zoey's mother Tiffany to make a stand, motivating the mom to create a Facebook page called the Chronicles of Zoey to raise awareness on uncombable hair syndrome.
"There is nothing wrong with Zoey... She is smart, quirky and perfectly healthy... She just looks different".
Tiffany believes Zoey's hair will become more manageable as she gets older but in the meantime is encouraging her daughter to love the hair she has, tangles and all.
