Your kids in a car seat. Full stop.

accreditation

Strapping your child into a car seat is not an option. We're so careful of all other safety aspects when it comes to our kids lives, whether it's food allergies, crossing the road or being out in crowded places.

Yet when it comes to car safety, so many parents are blase about it. Too many times have I seen not only a child unstrapped but standing between the seats in a car. If you can afford a car, you can afford a car seat. And if you can't, in the videos below Mandy-Lee tells you where you can get a great one for a small donation.

Parent24 editor, Sophia Swanepoel sat down with the founder of the #CarSeatFullStop campaign, Mandy-Lee Miller and had a conversation about why rear-facing your child for as long as possible is important.

They then went on to discuss booster seats and why children up to the age of 12 still need to be using one:

Lastly they spoke about how to know when your child is ready to move on to just a seat belt and how to use seat belts correctly on children. Hint: never underneath their armpits:

If you care about your children then strap them in.
