SA's divorce surge

The Justice Department of South Africa has released statistics which indicate a massive spike in divorces for the years 2012/13. Parent24 has produced short in-studio interview with two experts to explore what’s behind this phenomenon.

The experts speak

Interviewer Jennifer Sanasie asks divorce lawyer and mediator Elmarie Neilson and relationship counsellor and mediator Margaret Fulton why this spike has taken place, what kids experience during a divorce and what can separated parents do in terms of damage control should a divorce be on the cards.

Sex and money

In addition, the experts share their opinions on affairs and financial woes, two of the biggest divorce triggers.
