We live in a world where you just can't escape the TV. Before your kid is 2-years-old they probably won't have the concentration span or understanding to sit through any TV but once they do there are a few programmes that in limitation can teach them a thing or two.
We take a look at some of our kids favourite TV shows.
Peppa Pig

Peppa and her baby brother George go on many adventures and learn so many things in their day-to-day lives. It's what prompted my 2-year-old to beg us to go to the museum to see the dinosaurs.
Watch it on eTV: Monday - Wednesday at 14:30. And Sunday at 8am.
Bubble Guppies

Bubble Guppies are another favourite and they teach kids about all sorts of things from numbers to the alphabet, colours and shapes, different body parts and different kinds of clothes.

Paw Patrol
A group of
6 rescue pups led by tech savvy Ryder go around helping the town out in their unique way. Each pup has his own special skill set so it teaches kids how to work as a team.

Blaze
The thing I love about Blaze and his fellow Monster Machines is that they're teaching my son more complex concepts such as gravity and other physics concepts. They also teach kids about addition and subtraction instead of just counting. The thing my son loves about Blaze and his fellow Monster Machines is that they are big cars.

Doc McStuffins
I fell in love with Doc McStuffins when I saw her. I mean, she is a brown little girl who is a doctor. Talk about female empowerment and diversity. Also, she is so cute. My niece absolutely in love with her and often lives in her Doc McStuffins outfit. A win on our side!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Mickey Mouse is a classic in every childhood. When I was a child we had the Mickey Mouse Club (with a young Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling) and Disney's House of Mouse. This generation has Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Kids have fun singing and dancing along while learning shapes, colours, numbers and problem solving.
