This book is an in depth look at the psychology behind the difficulties of feeding children. It looks at not only the child, but the parent and shows in a clear and uncomplicated way, the common mistakes we all go through.
It shows that our children are born with all the right attitudes to life, food and eating and that as they grow up, our Western society teaches them often through us, the downfalls that create things like eating disorders and bad body image.
I found it extremely informative and thought provoking. It’s also simply written and not a whole lot of complicated psycho-babble.
It also outlines the truth about preservatives and colourants and how clever marketing can dupe us into thinking a product is healthy, when it is not. It’s nice to read something written in SA and not another American or UK book.
We don't like
It can go on a bit, but I think if I had the time I would read it from cover to cover. It would be nice to have some pics and a few recipes… but that’s just me! :)
