Irish mom Tara O'Byrne was left shocked after discovering an inexplicable find in her 11-week-old baby son Oscar's mouth.

"I went in to him around 7 am. I usually give him a soother and he goes back asleep for an hour, but he kept crying. So I took him out and changed him but when I went to feed him, I found the tooth in his mouth. It had grown overnight," she said in an interview

Waking up to his cries, she checked on her newborn. Then she made the startling discovery.

The mom said she then rushed off to hospital where doctors seemed as bewildered by the tooth as the mom, and after visiting a second hospital, the mom was advised to see a dentist instead.

A visit to the dentist produced similar reactions but the tooth was eventually removed.

"We were terrified at first but now we’re seeing the funny side. Me and my husband were laughing about it, it’s mad - especially at this time of the year!"
