This is why kids should sleep in the dark

accreditation

Is your child a catnapper? Have you tried just about everything to get her back to sleep after waking up and wanting to play? We might have found the answers you've been looking for.

According to this video posted by Bright Side, there are quite a few things some parents might be doing to disturb a child's sleep. A few of them might surprise you, others not so much. The video explains why it is always best for children to sleep in complete darkness: "Melatonin, the hormone that regulates sleep and waking cycles, is produced only in darkness."

But what if your child hates sleeping in the dark or is afraid of the monster under the bed? Well, unfortunately they fail to mention that in the video. However, there a few cool ideas on what to do and what not to do when trying to give your child a peaceful, undisturbed night's rest.
