Bizarre potty training

accreditation
A mom has been vilified for potty training her kids. Not in the usual way, at home, or even in a public loo or nappy changing room- but in the middle of a crowded restaurant in Utah, according to HuffPo.

Buck naked, and eating nuggets

After a photo of the kids emerged on the internet, naked, on their potties while seated at the table in a restaurant nibbling on chicken nuggets, there was an almost unanimous online groan of disbelief.

While it’s tricky to make the transition from nappies to underwear, especially when public toilets are often filthy and not child-friendly- seats at the wrong heights, taps too high- moms and dads seem to agree that there’s an unwritten code to potty training: Don’t do it where people are eating.

I can remember the potty training days well- having to run out and buy a new one because we were visiting friends, and had neglected to bring the one in use, as well as the walk of shame as you carry a loaded potty across a crowded room, and I tend to agree- perhaps it really is best suited to the bathroom; after all, that’s where the pooing and weeing will go on forever after (hopefully).

(We felt it inappropriate to share pictures proving this happened, but if you really HAVE to see for yourself, check out the Huffington Post pic).

What do you think? Was this mom unfairly judged for potty training her kids in a crowded restaurant?
