1 September marks the opening of beloved charity venture, the Santa Shoebox Project; an incredible initiative allowing contributors to make Christmas special for underprivileged children across South Africa and neighbouring Namibia.
Supporters would compile and decorate a box themselves, including specified Santa Shoebox items, from the very basics like soap and toothpaste, to gifts such as sweets and a toy.

Once assembled, donors would then deliver the care package to designated points on specified dates.
This year, in addition to patrons personally putting together gift boxes, the project has added a new option, the Virtual Santa Shoebox, making the process simpler for those not close to drop off points, or who aren’t based in South Africa, along with those with limited time but who would like to support nonetheless.
