Posting on a Facebook family group, this mom revealed how embarrassed she was after her youngest son's school contacted her over his 'inappropriate' lunch.
She says that she accidentally sent her son to school with a lunchbox full of raw sausages, instead of the sandwich and snacks that he was supposed to have in his lunchbox.
That morning she asked her son to take his lunchbox from the fridge, but he took a pack of uncooked sausages instead.
After she got home after drop off, she realised that her son's lunchbox was in the fridge, but she thought to herself that she probably packed yesterday's lunch.
However, not long after that thought, she received an email from her son's school explaining that she had packed raw sausages for her son that day.
She describes how she feels as though she has failed as a mom, and she promises to double-check her son's lunchbox from now on.
The post resonated with many mothers, who also shared the random food items that they have put in their children's lunchbox buy mistake.
'Cigarettes and a lighter'
One mom wrote, 'A couple of weeks ago, I put my cigarettes and lighter in my 10-year-old's school bag instead of her morning snack', while another one admitted that she had made her daughter a cheese sandwich, only to pack the block of cheese instead.
Sexy note for dear son
One mortified mom expressed how messed up one morning was for her when she changed her child's nappy, and instead of throwing it in the bin, she threw her lunch in the bin and took the dirty nappy and packed it for lunch.
She also packed her husband and son's lunch but mixed them up.
She says that when the lunches were mixed up, her husband's lunch had a teddy bear ham, while her 8-year-old's lunch had a note saying, "roll on later, you sexy fu*ker."
'The wrong bag'
One mom recalled the day when her son left his lunchbox at school the previous day. She chucked her son's lunch in a Sainsbury's bag, but, "My mum took him to school."
So when the school called her, saying, "your son appears to have dishwasher tablets for his lunch" she thought that her mom probably took the wrong bag.
It wasn't a boiled egg
Another mom wrote that this one time, she put an egg in her son's lunchbox, intending to boil it for a sandwich. When his son got to his summer club and opened his lunchbox, he thought it was a boiled egg.
The people around him suggested he tossed it on the floor to crack the shell which he did, to disastrous effect, wrote this mom.
