Having a child is a personal choice

Having a child is a personal choice and nobody has the right to judge you on whether or not you have children or how many you have. I have had people tell me that I am selfish for only having one child.

Selfish? Is it selfish to want the best for your child? Is it selfish to choose to have only one child because you know you can't comfortably afford another? I think it is selfish to have more children than you can afford or 'handle' just because society expects it of you. It's your choice... Nobody else's.

It's not like this woman gave her child up for adoption because she wanted a house instead.
