In a recent interview, singer and new dad Ed Sheeran expressed concern for his daughter's future mental health

Since depression runs in his family, Sheeran says he fears his 14-month-old daughter might experience the mental condition when she grows up.

Speaking with Swedish media, Ed said: "I would hate for her to have that. I know she will, as it runs in my family. But I would hate for her to feel sad and not know why".

The singer also opened up about going through a relapse of mental health problems during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The ordeal led him to stop working for a short time, but he realised that making music was an extremely helpful tool for him in getting through rough patches.

"Any major thing that happens in my life, the most positive thing I can do from that is write a song".
