In 1997, her tragic death stunned the world but 23 years later, the "People's Princess" still lives on says her son, Prince William.

"It's important that they know who she was, and that she existed," said the Duke of Cambridge in an interview where he spoke candidly about the many ways his family honours the memory of his late mom.

From the photos of Diana they have "round the house", to sharing stories of his mother with his children at bedtime, William says he's "constantly talking about Granny Diana" to his children, who never got to meet her.

Opening up about what kind of grandma he believes she would've been, William jokingly said she'd probably have been "an absolute nightmare."

"She'd love the children to bits, but she'd be an absolute nightmare. She'd come and go, and she'd come in probably at bath time, cause an amazing amount of scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place and — and then leave."
