Google's most searched how-to questions prove that the internet has officially replaced your mother and best friend

The term 'Google it' has become a phrase we all use at some point in the day.

It's possible that we all have an unhealthy dependency on the search engine portal that's been around for more than 20 years.

The baby refuses to sleep, you Google "How to put your baby to sleep"; your 5-year-old's got some weird rash and you're not sure if it's chicken pox or measles, so you check with Doc Google.

Last month, the internet giant released its global top 10 how-to list – a round-up of what the world's internet-using population wanted to know.

A scroll through the list essentially reveals that the days of picking up the phone to call your mom or best friend for advice are most definitely over.
